Select your Data Source

When creating a report in Analytics, data is collected from various data sources and presented to end-users in a way that is understandable and ready to be analyzed.

Data sources show you which data views you have access to from the database. Data views have been created to simplify the data selection process, allowing for easier report creation and less time consumed trying to understand complex data models.

The data sources available to you when building a report will depend on your licensed products. For more information on the data sources available to you for each of the products, please refer to their online help.

To select your data source:

1. Click Report from the Create New dropdown list.

2. In the Select your Data Source section, select the data source to use for your report. This section displays all of the data sources that you have access to. You can search for a data source by name or description.

   The Fields in Data Source Selected section displays the data fields contained in the data source you select. This is for informational purposed only. You can search for a field by name and field type (date, dimension or, measure).

3. Click Next.
