Manage Client configuration settings

Manager An administrative role responsible for managing workflows, feedback, and document assignments. users in the administrators role can manage the Client configuration settings for the Panviva database.

Note: You must have advanced permissions to access the Admin menu and update Feedback settings.

Manage Client configuration settings

  1. Open Panviva Manager.

    The Document Management window displays.

  2. Click Admin.

    The Administration window displays.

  3. Expand the Client configurations section.

  4. Choose the next step:

Manage Viewer settings

  1. Select Viewer from the Administration window to display the settings window.

  2. Complete the following fields:

    Field

    Welcome document folder

    1. Click Select folder.
    2. Select the welcome page folder.
    3. Click Add folder.

    Default welcome document

    Click Clear.

    There are typically many Welcome pages for your organization. Therefore, best practice dictates that you have only a default welcome folder and not a default welcome page.

    Online learning folder name

    Optional.

    If online learning is enabled, the default display name for the online learning folder is 'My training'. You can change this by typing a new name here. Examples: My quiz folder, Quiz Folder, etc.

    It is highly recommended that you turn the print function off. This is because users may print a document and then reference it instead of the current content in Panviva. When you update content, you want users to always reference the latest version in Panviva.

  1. Click Save to save the Viewer settings.

  2. Return to Manage Client configuration settings

Manage Manager settings

  1. Select Manager from the Administration window.

  2. Complete the following fields, as necessary:

    2. Select the required template.
    3. Click Add document.

    2. Select the required folder.
    3. Click Add folder.

    1. Click Select folder.
    2. Select the required folder.
    3. Click Add folder.
