Merge Panviva content

Caution: This feature is intended for use by Panviva configurators only. Please consult the Panviva Support team before using this feature.

Pre-requisite: Ensure you have an .xml document saved from same database.

For instructions on exporting XML documents, see export a document to XML format.

Steps:

You can merge content in Panviva as follows:

  1. Select the appropriate folder/document.

  2. Select Details & Actions > Merge > Merge from file.

  3. Click Choose File.

  4. Browse for the downloaded Panviva file on your local drive. Hint.

  5. Click Open.

  6. Optional: Select the following options as required:

    To

    Update document by name

    Merge the documents only if the name of the original document matches the name of the imported file.
    Usecase: This option can be used to update Service Level Agreement (SLA) documents across multiple regional folders with new standardized content.

    Overwrite existing content Overwrite the existing content with the imported content.
    Do not release native language documents

    Prevent automatic release after merging.

    This option is recommended when merging into released documents as it allows you to review the merged content before making it visible to users
  7. Click Save.

The original file is merged with the imported file.
