About Approval Pending Component

The Approval Pending component holds an outbound message until an approval manager has evaluated it or until it expires.

When the Approval Manager approves a message, the Upland AccuRoute server processes of the message for delivery. The server also generates an email notification for the message sender letting him know that the message has been approved. If the Approval Manager provided comments, the email notification will include those comments.

When an Approval Manager rejects a message, the server stops processing the message and the message is not delivered to the intended recipient. The server moves the message to the History folder and notifies the sender that the message was rejected. If the Approval Manager provided some comments for the sender, this is included in the email notification message.

If a message expires in Approval Pending, the server stops processing the message and moves it to History folder. The server also notifies the sender that the message has expired.

Note: If the sender has more than one Approval Manager, only one Approval Manager needs to look at the message and evaluate it.
