Configuring Registered User Embedded Directive Prompts

You can configure Embedded Directive prompts by using the Server Administrator > Registered Users node.

To configure Embedded Directive prompts

  1. Start the Server Administrator.

  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Select Registered Users. The details pane lists all registered users associated with the server.

  4. Select the user for whom you want to create the prompt.

  5. Right-click the user and select Properties to open the Properties page.

  6. Click to open the Desktop Client configuration.

  7. Go to the Prompts section and click Properties. The Embedded Directive Prompts page opens.

  8. Click New. The Prompt Properties page opens.

  9. In the Type text box, select the prompt type from the drop-down menu.

  10. In the Label text box enter the label for the prompt, for example Document Name.

  11. In the Instructions text box, enter the set of instructions that will appear in the prompt dialog, for example "Enter the name of the document."

  12. Click Next. The Prompt Properties Mapping page opens.

  13. Click New. The Mapped Property page opens.

  14. In the Property drop-down, select an appropriate mapped property value using the guidelines in Guidelines for mapping prompt values.

  15. Check the box next to DMS if it is a DMS property.

  16. Click OK.

  17. Click Next then Finish to go back to the Embedded Directive Prompts page.
