Creating DMS Connector Routing Rule

You can create an inbound routing rule for the DMS connector by using the Server Administrator > Rules node.

To create an inbound routing rule

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. Expand Ruleson the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Right-click Inbound and select New > Rule. The Specify the Criteria for this Rule dialog box appears.

  4. Configure the following:

    • Click Add and from the list on the Add Rule Criteria dialog box , select a criteria and click Next.

    • Configure as necessary and click Add then click Finish. Repeat to configure additional criteria.

    • Click Next. The Specify the Actions to take for this Rule dialog box appears.

  5. Click Add. The Add Rule Action dialog box appears.

  6. Select Route to Connector and click Next. The Route to Connector dialog box appears.

  7. Select the DMS connector from the Route to Connector drop-down list.

  8. Configure other options on this dialog box using the guidelines in Route to connector options.

  9. If desired, click Set DMS Variables and configure DMS variables that you wish to add to the message properties when the message is stored in the destination DMS.

    • Select either Core Properties or Custom Properties and click Add. Depending on your selection, the Core Property or Custom Property dialog box appears.

    • Configure the new property:

      • Core Property - Enter the property name in the Name text box, the property value in the Value text box, and click OK.

      • Note: Only valid property names are allowed.

      • Custom Property - Enter the property name in the Name text box, select a type from the Type drop-down list (String, Integer, Boolean, or Date), enter the property value in the Value text box, and click OK.

    • To import values from an XML file, click Import XML. Browse to and select the XML file, and click Open.

    • Use the up and down arrow to order multiple properties.

  10. Click Finish. (If you want to add other actions to this rule, add them now.)

  11. Click Next. The If any Action(s) fail do the following dialog box appears.

  12. Add the failover actions for this rule and click Next. The Specify a name for this rule dialog box appears.

  13. In the Specify a name for this rule text box, enter a descriptive name for this rule.

  14. Optionally, select the Enable this rule option to enable this routing rule on the server. If at any time you need to disable this rule, clear your selection.

  15. Optionally, select Stop processing other rules so that messages that match this rule for processing are not processed by the subsequent rules on the server.

  16. Click Finish.

  17. Order the inbound routing rules as desired.
