Fully Qualified Number

A fully qualified number in the United States, for example, includes the international access code, area code, local exchange, and number. Therefore a format +1-AAA-EEE-XXXX illustrates the international access code (+1), the area code (AAA), the local exchange (EEE), and the number (XXXX).

Note: +1 is the international access code for the United States. The international country code for other countries can be one, two or three digits, such as 44 for the United Kingdom.
