About Connector Profile

A connector profile stores the following information associated with a specific connector.

  • Permissions - Allows the fax sender to request fax previews when using this connector.

  • Additional Notification - Specifies additional recipients who will receive notification for all outbound messages submitted to the server through this connector. A recipient can be an e-mail recipient, printer, or/and folder. You can indicate the additional recipient will always receive notification, only on success, or only on failure. In addition, you can indicate that the message should include original attachments to the message.

  • Additional Recipients - Specifies  additional recipients who will receive a copy of all outbound messages submitted to the server through this connector. A recipient can be an e-mail recipient, printer, or/and folder. You can indicate that the message should include original attachments to the message.

  • Access Codes - Specifies the default access code for outbound messages submitted to the server through this connector. The access code can be applied to an outbound message only when the sender does not provide one.

This applies to the outbound message in two scenarios. In the first scenario, the sender submits a one-off message to the server through the connector. With a one-off message, the user does not have a way to provide an access code. In the second scenario, you required the sender to provide an access code, but the sender did not. When this happens, the connector applies the default access code so that the outbound message does not fail.

  • Billing Codes - Specifies the default billing code for outbound messages submitted to the server through this connector. The billing code can be applied to an outbound message only when the sender does not provide one.

This applies to the outbound message in two scenarios. In the first scenario, the sender submits a one-off message to the server through the connector. With a one-off message, the user does not have a way to provide a billing code. In the second scenario, you required the sender to provide a billing code, but the sender did not. When this happens, the connector applies the default billing code so that the outbound message does not fail.

  • Cover Pages - Specifies  the default cover page template that will be used with outbound messages submitted to the server through this connector. This cover page template is used only when the sender does not select one.

  • Cover Variables - Sets a variable value so that the variable will be populated with the value you specify when the variable is used in a cover page template for outbound messages submitted to the server through this connector.

Note: The Connector profile is not supported by all connectors. The Manager Connector Profile section on the Properties dialog box only appears for connectors that support the Connector profile.
