About SMTP Connector Routing Rules

You can create a routing rule for outbound messages submitted to the Upland AccuRoute server through the SMTP connector.

Using the SMTP connector, the AccuRoute Desktop users can submit messages to the server. The AccuRoute Desktop user can generate a routing sheet and send an email message to the server that includes the routing sheet and documents as part of the outbound message.

If you want to allow AccuRoute Client users to submit outbound messages to the AccuRoute Server using the SMTP connector, you must create an outbound routing rule that identifies messages from AccuRoute Desktop and routes them to the Embedded Directive Manager where the Embedded Directive can be matched with an Embedded Directive on the AccuRoute Server and the message can be routed to its final destination.

Creating SMTP connector routing rule

Use the following procedure to create a routing rule that identifies outbound messages with 222876883 as the destination and routes these messages to the Embedded Directive Manager.

Note: When you create your routing rule using 222876883 as the destination, then AccuRoute Desktop users should specify 222876883 or accuroute as the destination for One-off messages that enter the AccuRoute Server messaging system through the SMTP connector.
