You can configure pending approval or review message expiration by using the Server Administrator > Components node.
To configure pending approval or review message expiration

Start the Server Administrator.
On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > -
On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

Double-click Components. The components are listed in the details pane.

Double-click Approval Manager or Review Manager component (depending upon which component you are configuring).

Click Settings then select Enabled.

In Hold message for [ ] hours before failing the message, type or select the number of hours you want the server to hold the outbound message that needs to be approved or reviewed. If a message is not approved or reviewed during the allotted time you specify, the server fails the outbound message.
Note: You can enable only one of these components on the server. Open the Approval Manager Component Properties dialog box if you enabled the Approval Manager component to determine whether outbound messages need approval. Open the Review Manager component properties dialog box if you enabled the Review Manager component to determine whether outbound messages need to be reviewed.

Click OK to save your changes to the component.
