Deleting Messages

You can delete messages listed in the History folder. When you delete a message, it is removed from the Upland AccuRoute Server. If you want to retain a copy of the message, archive it before deleting it from the server.

To delete a message in the History folder

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. In the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Expand the Messages node. Click History. The History folder lists the messages the server has processed.

  4. Search for the message you want to delete. You can do the following:

    • If you know the barometer where the message resides, select it. All messages that are being processed by that barometer are listed.

    • To filter the number of messages listed, select an option from the View drop-down list.

  5. Right-click the message. Select Delete from the short-cut menu.

  6. Confirm that you want to delete the message and click Yes. The server deletes the message and removes it from the History list.

If you have difficulty locating a particular message, create a custom view using any search filter criteria. For instructions, see Creating Custom Views.

Note: If you are unable to locate a message on the server, it may have been removed during a Cleanup operation. Cleanup, a Maintenance component, automatically removes messages after a specified period of time. For more information, see About Cleanup.
