Enabling Billing Component

The standard Upland AccuRoute server  installation creates a CostRecovery table in the Archive database. When the Administrator enables billing, he/she can optionally configure the DSN to point to the external database and configure the Cost Recovery table.

During an upgrade of the existing servers, the CostRecovery table is copied (schema and contents) into the Archive database as the new CostRecovery table and the Billing component is configured to use the table.  

Use the following procedure to enable the Billing component. To disable the component, see Disabling the Billing component procedure below.

Note: The Billing component has to be enabled before you can start extracting billing data from messages.

To enable the Billing component

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Double-click Components. The Components are listed in the details pane.

  4. Click Billing to open the Properties dialog box.

  5. Click Configure.

  6. Select the Enable collection of billing data option.

  7. Click OK to save your changes and close the Properties dialog box.

Disabling the Billing component

To disable the Billing component

  1. Clear the Enable collection of billing data check box.

  2. Click OK to save your changes and close the Properties dialog box.
