Connecting to the Server

  1. Log in to the system where you installed the Remote Administrator using an account that belongs to the server Admins group.
    • On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  • The Specify Message Server page opens. The Network Address field is populated with the name of the local system.
  1. Enter the computer name or IP address of the server and click Finish. The Server Administrator opens.

Tip: When the Server Administrator is closed, Microsoft Management Console displays a message about saving changes to the MSC file. This file records the current position of items in the console tree. To preserve the console state, save the changes. If prompted to update the MSC file, click Yes.

Problems connecting to the server

If you are having trouble connecting to the server using Remote Administrator, add the DCOM port 135 to the Exceptions list by keeping the Firewall ON. Now you should be able to connect to and launch the server without any issues.

Connecting to additional servers

  1. On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.
  2. Expand the Server Administrator tree and right-click Server Administrator.
  3. Select Connect. The Specify Message Server page opens. The Network Address field is populated with the name of the local system.
  4. Enter the computer name or IP address of the server and click Finish. The Server Administrator establishes a connection to the server and creates a new node on the Server Administrator tree.

Disconnecting a server

  1. On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.
  2. Expand the Server Administrator tree and locate the server that you want to disconnect.
  3. Right-click the server and select Disconnect from the drop down menu options. The server is removed from the Server Administartor tree.
