About AccuRoute CloudFax Connector Top Line Variables

Connectors are used to manage how messages flow in and out of the Upland AccuRoute Server. With the CloudFax connector, the server communicates with AccuRoute CloudFax to address your fax workflows. The top line variables used in the fax header can be customized to show information that is required by your company like date, time, total number of pages faxed and more.

Note: Setting up the top line variables via the CloudFax connector will override the default set of variables used by your InterFax service account.

The following top line variables and format can be used for the fax header. The variables must be enclosed in curly brackets.

  • {to}

  • {from}

  • {totalpages}

  • {pagenumber}

  • {datedd/mm/yy}

  • {datedd/mm/yyyy}

  • {datemm/dd/yyyy}

  • {dateyyyy/mm/dd}

  • {datelong} (for example – November 16, 2021)

  • {timehhmmss}

  • {timehhmm}

  • {timehhmmsstt} (tt represents AM or PM based on a 12-hour clock.)

 

Before you begin

Administrators must complete the following tasks.

  • Create the CloudFax connector, if necessary.

  • Set up the CloudFax connector top line variables.

Creating the CloudFax connector

You can create the CloudFax connector by using Server Administrator > Connectors.

To create the CloudFax connector

  1. Start the Server Administrator.

  2. Right-click Connectors. The Connectors shortcut menu appears.

  3. Select New AccuRoute connector.

  4. Select CloudFax. The Create New CloudFax Connector wizard appears.

  5. Use the default server address or select Remote Server and specify the new address, if necessary.

  6. Select Next.

  7. Use the default connector name or type a new one in the Name box, if necessary.

  8. Select Next.

  9. Type your fax service credentials in the Username and Password boxes.

  10. Select Next.

  11. Select Finish. The CloudFax connector appears in the Details pane.

Setting up the CloudFax connector top line variables

You can set up the CloudFax connector by using Server Administrator > Connectors > CloudFax Properties.

To set up the CloudFax connector top line variables

  1. Right-click the CloudFax connector in the Details pane. The Properties shortcut menu appears.

  2. Select Properties. The CloudFax Properties dialog box appears.

  3. Select the Send tab.

  1. Specify the CSID (Calling Station ID) in the CSID box (optional).

Note: The Calling Station ID is used for identification purposes by your InterFax service account. Your InterFax service account includes a default Calling Station ID. The value you specify in the CSID box will override the default CSID used by the InterFax service account.

  1. Specify the variables in the Top Line box.

Example: to: {to} from: {from} date: {datemm/dd/yy} time: {timehhmm} totalpages: {totalpages}

Note: You can specify the labels and variables as shown in the example above or just the variables in the Top Line box.

  1. Use the default Retries, Scaling, Fax Resolution, Rendering settings or modify, if necessary.

  2. Select OK.
