About SharePoint Connector

Upland Upland AccuRoute provides tight integration with Microsoft SharePoint through SharePoint’s native interfaces. Users can upload scanned documents directly into SharePoint document libraries from an MFP or other scanning device.

How the DMS SharePoint connector works after installation

The user specifies a target SharePoint server and library and values for any metadata field by using DMS Extensions for Microsoft SharePoint, a required component for integration with SharePoint. These extensions are installed onto a SharePoint server and provide users with an “Upload Scan” option from within the browser-based interface to SharePoint document libraries. The user can enter a document file name, choose a document file format, and enter values for any index fields appropriate for documents uploaded to that library. The user can then choose to publish that information as a Personal Scan Reservation (making it accessible as a one-touch scanning option at an MFP device) or print a barcode scan Routing Sheet to use with the scanned hardcopy document. In either case, the server will upload the scanned document directly into the SharePoint document library at that location with the specified document name and metadata field values.
