About SSR Connector

The SSR connector allows server-to-server routing of messages. For more information on server-to-server routing, see About server-to-serve routing.

Note: The SSR Connector processes outbound faxes only.

Using the SSR connector, an Upland AccuRouteserver can receive fax messages from another server or send fax messages to a SSR connector associated with a different Upland AccuRoute server. The flow of faxes is determined by the routing rules on both servers. For more information on how routing rules determine the flow of faxes, see Setting up server-to-server routing.

When you configure routing rules and the SSR Connector, the Modem Server closest to the fax destination delivers the fax.

Note: By using the connector, you can reduce or eliminate costs associated with long distance faxing.

SSR connector requirements

You must have the following installed and configured before you can install the SSR connector.

  • AccuRoute Server with all the required configurations
  • Supported fax board
  • Supported Telco configuration (listed in the requirements section of the installation guide)
  • Service from a telephone company (types of service vary)
  • Create routing rules. For instructions, see Creating server-to-server outbound routing rule.

You must install a connector on each server that will route messages. For example, if your company uses two servers (one in Massachusetts and the other in California), and you wish to route to each server over the network, you must install SSR connectors on both servers.
