About Telco Connector

The Telco connector manages the modem servers associated with the Upland AccuRoute server. In addition, the Telco connector sends and receives faxes over the fax boards that are installed and configured on the system. Because the settings within the Telco connector are specific to the Modem Servers associated with the connector, you need at least one Telco connector for your local Modem Servers, and at least one Telco connector for a Remote Modem Server.

There are several benefits associated with having multiple Telco connectors in your messaging environment.

  • Reducing or eliminating the costs associated with faxing

  • Providing failover support for other Telco connectors

  • Increasing the efficiency of the server

When you install the server, the installation program installs a Telco connector on the server. An server installation does not come with a Telco connector.

Telco connector requirements
