Creating Message Property

You can create a Message property by using the Server Administrator > Configuration node.

To create a Message property.

  1. On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Expand Configuration, then right-click Properties.

  4. From the drop-down menu, select New > Property Dictionary. The Property Dictionary Item page opens.

  5. In the Name text box, enter the metadata field name.

  6. In the Label text box, enter a suitable label.

  7. In the Instructions text box, enter an appropriate instruction on what information should be entered for this field. For example, for the Client metadata field, you might create the following instruction.

    Enter the Client number:

  8. Verify that the Type is set to Text.

  9. In the Mappings section, click New to open the Property Definition page.

  10. Select the DMS Custom Field option and enter the corresponding metadata field name as defined in the DMS repository.

  11. Click OK to close the Property Definition page. The value you entered is listed in the Mappings text box on the Property Dictionary Item page. To view the complete mapping path of properties, see the Viewing the mapping path of a property.

  12. Click OK to create the message property. It is listed in the Properties details pane.

  13. If the property is to be validated, continue to Validating a message property.
    If you need to configure Regular Expression for the property, go to About Regular Expressions.

  14. Click OK to save your changes.
