Before you begin

Guidelines for Creating a Filescan Folder

You can use the following guidelines to create a Filescan folder for the Filescan connector.

  • The Filescan folders can be located on the Upland AccuRoute Server or any other computer in the local area network.

  • All Filescan folders must be shared. The server user account should have full control. User accounts for individual users and devices must have write permissions.

  • Create one folder if you want invalid control files to remain in the Filescan folder until someone deletes them. Create two folders if you want the Filescan connector to move invalid control files to a different folder.

Note: The following procedures do not create, delete, or edit the actual folders on the system, only the information in these folders within the Filescan connector. Physically creating, deleting, or editing folders occurs outside of the Server Administrator.
