Messages In Process

The In Process folder lists messages that are in process by the Upland AccuRoute server. The messages are submitted by the server and processed for delivery to its intended recipients.

You can view message properties listed in the In Process folder and cancel messages intended for delivery.

Barometers

Barometers are used to identify and sort messages. Messages on the server are grouped and displayed on the In Process page based on the component that is processing the messages. A message can be processed by any of the following components.

Barometer	Description
Dispatch	The Dispatch component is used to determine the appropriate message destination and its intended recipients.
Compose	The Compose component is used to convert the message into an appropriate file format for delivery.
Sequencer	The Sequencer component is used to sequence multiple jobs in order.
Approval Manager	The Approval Manager component is used to determine if the message requires approval or is pending approval.
Preview Manager	The Preview Manager component is used to determine if the message requires preview or is pending preview. This applies to fax messages only.
Lookup Manager	The Lookup Manager component is used to search for the Exchange, Notes, or SMTP mail recipient of the inbound message based on DID or DTMF extensions.
Embedded Directive Manager	The Embedded Directive Manager component is used to decode a Distribution Rule (Embedded Directive) and determine the next processing stage for the message. (Outbound faxes with secure delivery enabled and outbound scanned documents that originated on a scanner device are both associated with Distribution Rules.)
Collection Locator	The Collection Locator component is used to match the message with existing related documents.
Image-In Queue	The Image-In Queue component is used to determine if the job needs to be processed by Image-In Queue.
Recipient Registration Manager	The Recipient Registration Manager component is used to analyze the outbound fax with secure delivery enabled and determine if the recipient is registered with the server or the component is holding an outbound fax whose recipient is not registered with the server.
Delivery	The Delivery component is used to show which messages are pending delivery to its intended recipients.
Notification	The Notification component is used to generate and send a notification message to the email account of the Sender, Approval Manager, Review Manager, or Recipient.
Review Manager	The Review Manager component is used to analyze the outbound message and determine if it must be reviewed and held until a Review Manager evaluates it.
Billing	The Billing component is used to extract billing data from the message and saving the data to a file. (This component works in conjunction with the CostRecovery client application.)
Maintenance	The Maintenance component is used to process the message for a maintenance function such as Archive or Cleanup.

Note: Some In Process barometers are part of a default server installation and others are based on the type of configuration your company has. Not all barometers listed above may appear in your In Process folder.

View Options

The View drop-down list enables you to view messages on the server that appear in any of the following groups.

All Items
Items submitted today
Items submitted yesterday
Items submitted this week
Items submitted this month

Additional Message Information

The bottom section of the In Process page displays the following message information.

Job ID - Unique number that identifies the message on the server
Submitted - Time when the message was submitted to the server
Sender - Sender of the message
Destination - Address of the message recipient
Status - Status of the message: successful or failed
