Installing Intelligent Device Client

The Upland AccuRoute Intelligent Device Client (formerly known as the Embedded Upland AccuRoute for Intelligent Devices) is a request handler for client applications. It comprises of a group of IIS web server extensions providing a layer for communication between the clients and the server. For example, it allows a client like Ricoh Embedded Software Architecture (ESA) Device Client, to submit messages to the server. It also allows the clients to retrieve information about Distribution Rules from the server.

Intelligent Device Client facilitates communication between the server and other applications.

Note: Version 2.3 and all later versions install the Intelligent Device client by default. No separate installation is necessary. You must configure the client and test it using instructions in this topic. If necessary, you can install the client on a remote system.
