Multifunction Device Tips and Solutions
The following tips and/or solutions are provided to assist you with troubleshooting various multifunction device issues.

Issue:
When I place a document on the device's glass platen for scanning and try to begin scanning, a device message informs me that the original document was not detected.
Tip/Solution:
This issue only occurs when a device is reactivated from the energy save (sleep) mode. Ensure your device is in a power state that supports scanning. Settings made prior to a period of sleep mode are not retained afterward for privacy and security reasons.
Note: As an option, you can change the device's energy saving setting in the Power Management Settings to minimize the effects of the issue.

Issue:
When I place a document on the device's glass platen and start scanning, the Job Build screen appears (even when disabled in the Administrator) and prompts me to set the next page.
Tip/Solution:
This issue only occurs when a user selects the platen as the paper source. The device properly displays the Job Build screen that prompts the user to set the next page in place.

Issue:
If Job Build is on and Scan Preview is enabled, once I scan my first document the Additional Scan button is disabled. I cannot continue scanning.
Tip/Solution:
Multiple scanning at the device is unavailable with Scan Preview. With Job Build on, images are rendered (previewed) as documents are scanned without the need to select a Preview mode.

Issue:
I am scanning a document. After scanning is complete, the scanning complete message with delivery information is missing. The document, however, is routed to the AccuRoute Server for processing.
