Returning message to sender
Returning a message sent to a Queue is useful in situations where a document was scanned and sent to the Queue in error and it should not have been sent at all. For example, a car loan invoice is sent to a mortgage invoice Queue, the Queue user can send the message back to the message originator.
To return a message to a sender:
-
Locate the message you want to send back.
-
Right click the message and select Return to Sender from the drop down menu options. Alternately, click File > Return to sender. The Route selected item page opens with the Destination listed as the originator of the message.
-
In the Comments text box, enter a brief comment explaining the reason for returning the message.
-
Click Route to send the message to the message originator.
When you return a message to a sender, it is removed from the Queue.
