Links Report
When a recipient clicks on a link within your email content, this is recorded by Adestra as a click event. The links page of a report provides a summary of the click activity for your campaign.
On this page:
Click Summary
An email can contain various types of link which are reported individually:
- Clicked: the number of recipients who have clicked on a tracked link within you email content
- Web Version: the number of recipients who have clicked to view the web version of the email
- Simple Version: the number of recipients who have clicked to view the simple version of the email
- Form Click: the number of recipients who have clicked on a form link, for example, an update your details form
- Unsubscribed: the number of recipients who have opted out from receiving any further email communication
The summary also gives a graphical representation of the number of clicked links across the timeline.
Link Activity
The Link Activity table lists the link labels within the email (the text the recipient clicked on containing the link). It displays the total number of clicks for each link and the number of unique contacts per link.
The Link Activity table will appear black if link tracking is disabled from the campaign presets, options, or preferences.
The reporting shows:
- Clicks: number of times the link was clicked
- Contacts: number of contacts who clicked the link
- Contact %: percentage of contacts that clicked total, that clicked the link (e.g. 5 people clicked the email and all 5 clicked that link will give 100% report for the individual link)
- Open: percentage of those that opened the campaign that clicked the link
- Sent: percentage of contacts successfully sent to that clicked the link
- Total: percentage of contacts sent to, total, that clicked the link
You can click on the link label to see more statistics for that particular link, including the the contacts who clicked the link.
In the Links table, the 'Edit Link' column allows you to edit the link or link label within a previously published version of this campaign.
Note: Changes made to this link will be reflected in any previous launches to this publication.
Active Contacts
The active contacts table lists the contacts who have triggered the most click events. A very high number of clicks can indicate a contact has forwarded emails or shared links.
