Signals

The insights and accompanying rules contained in Max knowledge domains make use of Signals. A signal is a field that can be referenced in Max insight rules and in insight text.

• The text of a Max insight can include references to signals. The reference serves as a placeholder, and is replaced by the signal value when the insight is shown to the user.
• An insight rule determines when the insight is shown to the user, based on the signal(s) included in the rule's logic.

Max comes with a range of signals already set up. If the signal you need is not already available in Max, your Salesforce system administrator can add a custom signal.
