Altify Core Settings

To access Altify core custom settings:

  1. In Setup, go to Custom Settings.
  2. Click Manage beside Altify Core Settings.
  3. Click Edit.

Note: The following custom settings should only be set at the organization level. Altify does not support the enablement of these settings at the profile or user level.

  4. Setting Description
Add Organizer T&I Invite When this checkbox is selected, the organizer of a Test & Improve – in addition to the invitees – gets an email invite that they can add to their personal calendar.
Auto enable Altify for new Opps

This checkbox controls whether or not Altify triggers will create a ‘shadow’ Altify Opportunity on creation of an opportunity in Salesforce. It is disabled by default for new Altify installations.

If many of your opportunities are owned by teams who are not using Opportunity Manager, this checkbox should be left unchecked to avoid the creation of shadow opportunities where they are not necessary. In this case, usage will follow a “Just In Time” model and the shadow opportunity is only created as the user accesses Altify on the opportunity.

    Chatter Snooze Time

Use this field to specify the minimum time that elapses between automatic Chatter notifications.

When a user performs any action on a tab that results in data being saved, an update is posted to Chatter.

To prevent large amounts of updates being generated if users make multiple edits, the Chatter Snooze Time setting creates a time delay so that the next update for a tab is only posted after a specified length of time has passed. By default, Chatter Snooze Time is set to 30 minutes.

For example, if during a 30 minute period a user makes 5 updates to the Relationship Map of an opportunity and 3 updates to Assessment, only 2 related chatter notifications will generated over that period – one for each type of update made in (Relationship Map and Assessment).

    Contacts on map for completeness

For organizations that apply simple completeness calculations, the relationship map completeness score is derived from a count of the number of contacts that have interesting attributes (i.e. Political Status, Buying Role Buying Role is a relationship attribute for contacts on an opportunity relationship map. The default options shipped with Opportunity Manager are: 'User', 'Evaluator', 'Decision Maker', and 'Approver'. Additional roles can be created, if necessary, but the software only uses the default values for scoring calculations. [OM], Decision Orientation Decision Orientation is a relationship attribute for contacts on an account relationship map. It indicates what will influence the contact's decision-making process. The default values aailable for this attribute are: 'Financial', 'Technical', 'Relationship', and 'Business'. [AM], Coverage Coverage is a relationship map attribute that indicates how much you've been in touch with a contact. There are several possible Coverage values: Unknown, No Contact, Brief Contact, Multiple Contacts, and In Depth. or Status) as a percentage of a desired number of contacts (8).

This value allows you to redefine the desired number of contacts. Left blank, the default value of 8 is applied. For more information, see the relevant link below:

Disable Account search term prefix [AM only] When a user is searching accounts in account plan set up, the default search is to find accounts whose name contains the search string (a wildcard/string/wildcard search). This setting changes the search to find accounts whose name starts with the search string (disabling the initial wildcard) and is appropriate for customer organizations with a very large number of account records and who are experiencing a delay when searching. For example, when set, a search for ‘ncaster' will not return accounts that start with 'Ancaster'.
Disable Altify Logging This check box disables advanced Altify usage logging.
Disable Coaching [OM only] This check box hides the Top Insights pane on the Overview page.
Disable PDF for Exec Briefing Removes the option 'Export to PDF' for users who are generating an Executive Briefing.
    Disabled Trigger List

This field should only be used by Altify support. It allows us to selectively disable Altify triggers should that be required.

Enable Actions Query Modification This setting may improve performance when you are deleting actions in Opportunity Manager.
Enable Asynchronous Remote Calls When this checkbox is selected, the remote calls that populate the panels on the Plan Details tab in Account Manager are asynchronous. Otherwise, they’re synchronous.
    Enable CRUD Advanced Search

Enables an Advanced Search option for lookup fields (Account or Contact) on CRUD dialogs. For more information see the following:

This setting only applies to dialogs for which the relevant CRUD custom setting has been enabled (Use CRUD Add Action, Use CRUD Add Contact).

Enable FLS Select this checkbox to enable field-level security.
Enable Max For Relationship Map Contacts If this setting is enabled, the contact insights that your organization has created, edited or translated using Altify Max are displayed in relationship maps. For more information, see Suggested Target Rules.
    Help URL base

This field sets the base URL for Altify help. This field should only be used by Altify support.

Hide Focused View Option in CRUD Dialogs

If this setting is enabled, the Focused View toggle is not available to users who are creating or editing objectives or actions.

The Focused View restricts the dialog to only displaying mandatory fields and a default selection of key fields.

    Language Codes

Use this field to specify the Salesforce language codes of the languages you want to be available for selection on the Content Translations page.

See the Altify Localization Guide for full details about Content Translations.

OM Hide PRIME Type Column When this checkbox is selected, actions in Opportunity Manager do not show the PRIME Action type.
Opportunity Update Without Sharing This checkbox should be left deselected unless you are otherwise instructed by Altify.
    Quip Enabled

When this checkbox is enabled, one of the available output format options for an Executive Briefing is a Quip document. (This is available in both Opportunity Manager and Account Manager.)

This requires that your org is integrated with Quip.

    Salesforce Shield-Enabled

This setting is used when your org applies Salesforce Shield field encryption on the Contact object's Name field.

When the checkbox is selected, Altify software uses SOSL queries for contact searches rather than SOQL queries.

This ensures that the search operates correctly even though the Name field is encrypted.

    Salesforce Chatter Disabled

Use this field to disable Chatter updates for Altify pages.

Signal fields The signals used to control the behavior of the Plan Status icons in TeamView.
    Skip triggers for non-core users

Specifies triggers that are NOT fired when users who do not have an Altify license to create or update Salesforce objects such Accounts and Opportunities.

Values must be entered as a comma-separated list, such as the following example: Account,Opportunity,Task

    TANDI Admin Username

Username of the Salesforce Administrator who will organize T&I access for invitees who do not have a license or permission set; or who do not have access to the relevant opportunity (OM only). The admin receives an email with a link to a page detailing the access tasks that need to be completed. For more information, see the following:

Use CRUD Add Action When this checkbox is selected, the user adds or edits actions using your preferred Salesforce CRUD layout. When it is deselected, the user adds or edits actions using Altify’s default ('Focused View') mode.
Use CRUD Add Contact When this checkbox is selected, the user adds contacts using your preferred Salesforce CRUD layout. When it is deselected, the user adds contacts using Altify’s default mode.
    User Query Filter

Restricts the search results of a user search on the relationship map to a specific user type. Enter the user type in this field to apply the restriction.

For example, if you set this value to the 'Standard' user type, user types such as PowerPartner are excluded from the search results. For more information on user types, see the Salesforce api docs.
