Splitting Product Lines

When multiple products are associated with an opportunity (as shown below) the amount is calculated from the sales price and quantity of the individual products.

Suppose that you're working a current opportunity to sell three solutions as a single package: Z-500 Hardware worth $40,000, Z-Series POS Software worth $20,000, and a maintenance contract worth $40,000.

This gives a total amount of $100,000.

With product line item splitting enabled, Altify can automatically split this opportunity over the three solution columns.

 

When you click into one of these intersections, you can see how much of the overall opportunity is represented in that intersection – $40,000 in this case – and the full value of the opportunity.

 

On the other hand, when product line item splitting is disabled, the software shows the opportunity on a single column with a single amount:
