Edit a database connection

The Database Connection page displays information for the database(s) that you are connect to.

Caution: Analytics allows for great flexibility in managing database connections but it is only recommended for users with knowledge and understanding of the configuration and its administration.

To edit a database connection:

  1. Click Analytics Settings on the Analytics Menu and then click Database Connections. The Database Connections page displays a list of all available database connections.

  2. Click the hyperlink of the database connection that you want to edit. The Edit Connection page displays.

  3. Modify the following fields as necessary.

    • Name: The name of the database connection.

    • Database Engine: The type of the database engine.

    • Server Name: The name of the server.

    • Database Name: The name of the database.

    • Database User: The database user name.

    • Click Change Password to change the password for the database.

  4. Optional: Click Test Connection. The color on the button changes to indicate the status of the connection as follows:

    • Green: The database is connected.

    • Red: The database is not connected.

    • Yellow: The database is being created.

  5. Click Save.
