Edit a data view field
Click the hyperlink of the field in the SQL Column Name column to edit the field. The Edit Row dialog box displays.
Complete the fields as follows:

SQL Column Name: Type the column name exactly as it appears in SQL.

Data Type: Select the data type, which determines how data will render, sort, and operate on the field.
- String
- Integer: Select or clear the Is it a measure checkbox.
- Decimal: Select the number of digits to the right of the decimal point from the Scale dropdown list and then select or clear the Is it a measure checkbox.
- Percent: Select the number of digits to the right of the decimal point from the Scale dropdown list and then select or clear the Is it a measure checkbox.
- Money: Select the number of digits to the right of the decimal point from the Scale dropdown list and then select or clear the Is it a measure checkbox.

Data Alignment: Select the data alignment for the field: Right, Center, or Left.

Reference Key Field: To map the field, select field name on the referenced data table from the dropdown list.

Data Sorting: Select how to sort the data in the field from the dropdown list.

Filter Variable: Select a filter variable from the dropdown list. Select the Force Filter checkbox to trigger filtering when data is added or removed.
