What's New in 2024R1

This release includes several backend enhancements which greatly enhances the user experience. Additionally, this release introduces the following new features:

Data Sources

• You can now apply query hints to data sources to optimize performance when a query is under performing.

  1. Open the existing data source.

  2. In the Query Settings section, select the following as necessary:

     • Force Legacy Cardinality Estimation: Uses Cardinality estimation to predict the number of rows that will be returned by a query operation, which affects how the query optimizer creates an execution plan.

     • Force Order: Instructs the query optimizer to follow the exact order in which the joins are written in the query, instead of rearranging them to potentially create a more efficient execution plan.

Fiscal Month and Year

• The fiscal month and year are now shown as numeric values instead of month names.

Pivot Reports

• Column sorting has been added to Pivot reports for improved functionality.

Subscriptions

• Subscription emails have been updated. Instead of receiving reports or dashboards as email attachments, you will now receive a download link. Click the link to download the report or dashboard.
