Create a drilldown

Drilldown is an analytical practice that allows you to visualize granular levels of data in one report. This provides you with the option to drill down logical hierarchies within your data, viewing data from different angles and levels by re-calculating your report each time you move down a hierarchy.

You can create a drilldown relationship between:

• report to report

• report to dashboard

• dashboard to report

• dashboard to dashboard

and different reports/dashboards can have the same destination.

1. Select the area where you want to add the drilldown. The Drilldown Settings form displays.

2. Select Show Hotspots to highlight the hotspots.

   Note: when Hide Hotspots is selected, the Click to configure your Drilldown message displays when you hover over a hotspot.

3. Select the hotspot to which you want to add the drilldown and press Add Link to add relationships. The Add link to report page displays with a list of reports and dashboards that you have access to.

4. Check the checkbox next to the report(s) and/or dashboard(s) you want to add.

5. Press the Add button.

6. Optional for dashboards only: Check the Apply to all widgets checkbox to apply one rule to all the widgets that contain the same field.

7. Press the Apply button. Select Drilldown Map to see the mapping of the established relationships.
