File Share Connector Prerequisites

The following table details the permissions required to use the File Share connector:

User Accounts and Application Permissions

Required Permission	Description
Trusted Domain	File Share connector supports indexing file shares from the same domain as Connector Framework or ConnectivityHub Help with full security trimming.
Non-Trusted Domain	From non-trusted domains without security.
Security	Custom security can be set within the Connector Framework or ConnectivityHub based on business rules. Azure Active Directory Domain Services If your Azure instance supports authentication though Azure Active Directory Domain Services, can be used to achieve accurate security trimming ConnectivityHub must be connected to the same Azure AD Domain Service as the file share for users/groups translation.
