Micro Focus Content Manager Connector Prerequisites

User Accounts and Application Permissions

Required Permission Description
Domain User Account
 		A user account with READ access to all of the content on the file share.
Database User Account A user account with READ access to all of the databases to be crawled.
Content Manager
  • File share path: Access the Content Manager (HP Trim) file share. For example: \\trickyhptrim01\demodb
  • Database Connection info: Server and database name(s) for all of the databases to be crawled

Permission Types Yes All BA Insight Connectors support fetch ACLs from the source system. To make items public or restricted to a single user/set of users, you can do so within the Connector Framework.
Required Software Before you install the Micro Focus Content Manager Connector, you must install Connector Framework.

Recommended Changes to the Database

The following tables are missing the indexes that this Connector uses.

To improve the performance and reduce the load on the Trim Database server, you must create standard non-unique indexes on these tables and fields.

    • Index: exFieldFormat

  • Table: TSEXFIELDV

    • Index: evFieldURI
    • Index: evObjectURI

  • Table: TSNOTES
    • Index: ntTableUri
