SQL Connector Prerequisites

The connector requires only the following user account and application prerequisites:

Administrator Prerequisites

This section assumes the reader has considerable knowledge and experience in the configuration and administration of the following:

• Your database(s)
• Strong SQL knowledge and schema knowledge of the database(s)

User Accounts and Application Permissions

Required Permission	Description
Database Application	For OLEDB data sources, like Oracle, the appropriate OLEDB driver is installed for your database READ access to your database and a valid login.
Azure AD Authentication	BA Insight does NOT support Azure AD authentication with Azure SQL. The user account used to connect to Azure SQL must be a SQL account.
Azure AD Users and Groups	If Azure AD users and groups are used to secure database records, contact BA Insight to confirm your environment is compatible.

Connector Features and Requirements
