SharePoint Online Add-In Prerequisites

Before installing the AutoClassifier SharePoint Online Add-In, ensure the following conditions are satisfied:

Tagging in SharePoint Online: When using AutoClassifier to do in-place tagging in SharePoint O365, the endpoint RemoteEventReceiver.svc must be accessible anonymously from the internet so that O365 can contact AutoClassifier when there is activity in the document library that must be tagged.

  • The RemoteEventReceiver.svc endpoint is a requirement for O365 in-place tagging

  • The kind of traffic and origin of the traffic for any incoming request as well as that

  • The endpoint may be blocked if AutoClassifier for O365 is not required

  • General AutoClassifier Prerequisites must be satisfied
  • Domain Account for running the IIS Site:
    • This account also requires the ability to run as a Windows Service
    • X.509 Digital Certificate for running IIS Site
  • AutoClassifier Engine installed and configured
  • Web server certificate is installed

  • Latest Windows updates are installed

    Note: The next requirement is only required if the installation intends to synchronize Term Store data for Tagging. 

    • MMS Synchronization is an option post install configuration. 

    • If you are unsure complete the following section.

    • Enter the SharePoint App user account as a Term Store Administrator in your Term Store: app@sharepoint
