About

The West KM Component integrates Thompson Reuters’ West KM Legal Knowledge Management classification engine into AutoClassifier in order to extract legal metadata from content. 

• West KM Transactional enables the end user to pass any document through WestKM for meta classification. 

• This component directly queries the WEST KM server with available data to interactively extract content.   

• Response times vary:

  • BA Insight recommends running this component in an offline mode.

How to Add the West KM Transactional V5 Component

1. Navigate to the AutoClassifier Pipelines component page.
   
2. Click New Component and select West KM Transactional V5 from the component list:
   
3. Name your new West KM Transactional V5 component and click Add
4. Click Apply to save your changes.

5. Ensure your new West KM Transactional V5 component is placed in the list of existing pipeline stages.

How to Configure the West KM Transactional V5 Component

Use this component when extracting metadata from the WEST KM server in real-time. To configure your West KM Metadata V6 Elastic component, select it from the components list and complete the following fields in the Configuration section:

1. Add the Component
   
2. Existing Components: Click to see the Configuration section:
   
3. Service Url: Specify the West KM web service URL.
   
4. Domain: Specify the domain, user name, and password to authenticate in West KM.
