Content Sources Dashboard

The BA Insight Content Sources dashboard is a great entry point for managing your ConnectivityHub Content Sources such as:

  • External, Web service Content, such as:
    • SharePoint Online
    • SharePoint On-Premise
    • Documentum
    • File Share
    • OpenText
  • Built-in Database Content, such as OLEDB-type databases:
    • SQL
    • Oracle

Title Column

The Title column can sort your Content Sources by Title name and provides an icon for filtering.

Type Column

The Type column can sort your Content Sources by type:

  • Web service content
  • Advanced Web service content
  • SQL content (OLEDB databases)

An icon provides filtering.

Connection Column

The Connection column can sort your Content Sources by Connection name and provides an icon  for filtering.

Target Column

The Target column can sort your Content Sources by Target name and provides an icon  for filtering.

Target Index Column

The Target Index Column is the destination index where the content is being pushed.

The Target Index is automatically computed from the content source title

Sync Status and Scheduled Sync Columns

Sync status columns indicates whether jobs needed to update search index for the specific content source are configured and enabled.

The jobs can be automatically created/enabled by the 'Start' button in the next column or disabled by the 'Stop' button.

One Time Sync Column

The Start sync column provides you with a drop-down menu to run an update:

  • Full
    or
  • Incremental

Actions Column

The Actions column provides you with a drop-down menu to:

  • Edit: Open your content source for modification
  • Delete: Delete your content source
  • Test: Open your content source for testing using test bench.
  • Tasks: Open the Timer Jobs screen where you can:
    • Add a new job
    • Refresh jobs
    • See active jobs
    • See a history of jobs
  • Metadata: Open the Metadata screen where you can:
    • Manually create new metadata for your content source
    • Automatically generate metadata for your content source
    • Import metadata from other content sources
    • Purge (delete) metadata.
