The following requirements apply to all Connectivity Hub installations.

Elasticsearch Support

For Connectivity Hub users on Elastic, Connectivity Hub v4.x supports Elasticsearch v7.x to v8.x.

BA Insight products Connectivity Hub 4.x supports SmartHub 5.5 and later.
Operating system

The following software must be installed and running/enabled:

  • Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022
User Accounts and Permissions

  • Installation account

    • The account must be a local administrator
    • Format: domain\user

  • Service account

    • This must be a domain account if either of the following is true:
      • You wish to connect to a database on a remote server using Windows Integrated Authentication.
      • You have more than one server running Connectivity Hub in your farm.
    • Account must have the permission Log on as service.
    • Format: domain\user
Windows features

  • Server roles

    • Application Server
      • .NET Framework v4.7.2 (Windows Server 2016, 2019)
      • .NET Framework v4.8 (Windows Server 2022 - provided, used automatically, by default)
    • Web Server IIS (graphic below)
      • Web Server
        • Security
          • Basic Authentication (see Note below).

          • When using the basic authentication authorized version of Connectivity Hub, You must access Connectivity Hub using HTTPS.

Basic Authentication Role Service

The default installation of IIS 7 and later does not include the Basic authentication role service.
To use Basic authentication on IIS, you must follow the instructions in the Microsoft documentation.

Java

  • BA Insight supports Java v11.

  • BA Insight develops and tests using Adoptium.

  • BA Insight does not guarantee support of Oracle Java, but it may function in your environment.
Web Browser Support

The following web browsers are supported:

  • Google Chrome
  • Chromium-powered Edge
  • Other browsers unsupported*

The following web browsers are not officially supported and they may work with Connectivity Hub.

Database
  • SQL Server 2012, or later
    • Service account with the following permissions:
      • db_owner rights
      • db_creator rights
      • DB creation scripts must be run by a user with db_creator permissions
