How to Secure Your Index
- Navigate to the Targets page.
For <your target title>, click > Edit.
- Click the Security tab.
- The Security Model drop-down menu is populated with different options, supported by the target system.
- Elasticsearch users: Elasticsearch does not support security out-of-the-box. Use SmartHub and the Advanced security model to secure your results at query time.

- Allow Security Only Updates
- Click to apply the changes that are made to security in the external content system to the contents of this target.
- Make this selection if your security changes frequently, but your items do not.
