Target specific settings to enhance Microsoft Copilot functionality

In Connectivity Hub 4.0, functionality was added to allow admins to specify target specific settings for a content source. These settings allow Microsoft Copilot to leverage more information when deciding if indexed content is relevant to the users query. Currently, only the Microsoft Search targets support target specific settings for Microsoft Copilot. The following settings can be configured:

• Target specific setting: Description

• Target specific setting: Url To Item Resolvers

To add a target specific setting to your content source, do the following:

1. On the Connectivity Hub Administration portal, click Content Source from the left panel.

2. Create a new content source or select an existing content source that uses a Microsoft Search target.

3. Click the Target Specific tab.

4. In the Description field, enter a description of the content source. This will allow Microsoft Copilot to determine if the indexed content matches a users question.

   Note: Once you have set a value for the Description field, the Microsoft Search API does not allow you to remove this value.

5. In the Url To Item Resolvers field, you can specify base URLs to allow Copilot and Microsoft solutions to detect when users interact with URLs that were shared through Microsoft 365 apps, and resolve a respective Item ID to the URL. This helps to boost indexed documents that have been interacted with by members of your organization in your search results. You can specify multiple base URLs separated by a comma (,). For example, http://uplandsoftware.com,https://BAIUplandSoftware.com. For more information, see Activity settings in the Microsoft documentation.

6. Click Save Changes.
