About Confluence Connectors
Data Center Version
The Confluence connector is an enterprise grade indexing connector that enables content stored in Confluence to be crawled and indexed.
This connector enables SharePoint, or any other portal, to serve as the single point from which users can search and retrieve the content they need from multiple content sources.
Features
- Crawls and indexes multiple types of content from Confluence.
- Respects Confluence security, and only surfaces the content that users are permitted to see.
- Indexes but does not copy content, so users who click on a search result are taken directly to the most up to date content in Confluence.
Security
- If you want to crawl content with security, the crawling account must be an Administrator account to have access to user and group information and permissions on spaces and pages.
- The Confluence Connector requires the BA Insight Advanced Security Module to honor the full security model defined in Confluence.
Limitations
- There is no custom filter for attachments and comments.
- The REST API version has limitations such as:
- Does not enumerate disabled users.
- Does not enumerate all content from a space which the admin user doesn't have access.

Confluence Custom Logos
Errors may occur if your Confluence instance(s) uses custom logos for Confluence spaces.
- This does not affect the ability of the BA Insight Confluence connector to crawl all your data completely and accurately.
- Errors may appear in the logs for Confluence space that uses a custom logo.
- This is a known issue and traces its source to the Atlassian Confluence product.
