About the IBM Notes Connector

Overview

The BA Insight IBM Notes Connector is also known as the IBM Lotus Notes Connector.

Types

There are two sub-connectors to choose from:

• Mailbox Connector: Use this connector to index personal mailboxes from Lotus Notes/Domino.
• Notes Connector: Use this connector to index Domino-based custom applications.

Features

The IBM Notes connector provides the following capabilities:

• With the IBM Notes Email Connector, users have the ability to search Notes emails directly from within SharePoint or another portal. 

• Crawls both emails and attachments.
• Only retrieves emails that each user is authorized to see.

• BA Insight Notes Connector honors the security of the source system Your Source System is the repository where your data is stored (data to be indexed). This repository is managed by applications such as: - SharePoint O365 - SharePoint 2013/16/19 - Documentum - File Share - OpenText - Lotus Notes - etc. Your Source System repository can also be a database such as SQL or Oracle..

• Security defined within IBM Notes is automatically reflected in search queries.

• Users see only content for which they are authorized.
