About the Objective EDM Connector
This version of the Objective connector connects directly to your Objective database.
-
By enumerating data directly from the database we are able to index larger sets of data and check for changes more rapidly.
This table lists Objective functions that are supported/not supported in the current version:

Security Processing
-
Objective EDM system grants the access to a resource if user has explicit grant access and deny access to the resource.
-
BA Insight's Connector Frameworks and Microsoft SharePoint behave differently in the same circumstances: meaning the user will be denied access to the resource.

Current behavior |
In Objective EDM, userX will have access to FolderX and objectX, because userX belongs to GroupB |
The Objective connector will denied the userX access to objectX, because userX belongs to at least one group that has access denied -GroupA. |
Incremental Crawl Behavior
When it’s executing an incremental crawl Scanning and capturing only new data from all of your content sources. This data did not exist when the last crawl was run., this connector has a different internal behavior in relation to other connectors.
-
It queries the source system Your Source System is the repository where your data is stored (data to be indexed). This repository is managed by applications such as: - SharePoint O365 - SharePoint 2013/16/19 - Documentum - File Share - OpenText - Lotus Notes - etc. Your Source System repository can also be a database such as SQL or Oracle. for all items that have changed past the last crawl date.
-
Because of this, detecting the changes can be a bit slower, but it won’t affect the retrieval of the items themselves during the crawl.
