About the OpenText Media Management Connector

Features

The BA Insight OpenText Media Management connector is a web application-type connector.

The connector crawls the content contained in the OpenText™ Media Management cloud source system Your Source System is the repository where your data is stored (data to be indexed). This repository is managed by applications such as: - SharePoint O365 - SharePoint 2013/16/19 - Documentum - File Share - OpenText - Lotus Notes - etc. Your Source System repository can also be a database such as SQL or Oracle. and indexes the content for search engines such as SharePoint Online, Elastic Search, and others.

Connector Options

Media Management connector enables you to crawl specific content by filtering based on:

• Data content types
• the Collections where the content resides

Metadata

Connector retrieves all of the items’ metadata Provides context with details such as the source, type, owner, and relationships to other data sets. Metadata provides details around the item being crawled by Connectivity Hub. from the source system

Security

The connector does not handle any security set in the source system.

All content is returned as "public."

Limitations

The following media management repository changes require full crawls to be reflected in the index:

• Any metadata modifications which do not update the last_modification_date of the items (such as expiration_policy, publications_date, and archival)
• Deleted items
