Configure the AD Organizational Unit Group ("OU")

Used to manage permissions and control access to critical network resources. groups, a new OU must be created and the SharePoint Timer service account must be delegated certain rights.

This enables Longitude to create and manage Groups.

  1. Instruct your network administrator to use the Active Directory Users and Computers Management application to configure Active Directory.
  2. The administrator can create this organizational unit in the root of Active Directory or as a sub organizational unit.

Note: If the OU is not created in the root of the default domain SharePointGroups, the full LDAP location must be entered.
Example: OU=sharepointgroups, OU=myfolder, DC=microsoft, DC=com.
