File Share Connector Prerequisites

Connector Features and Requirements

Nasuni Cache Requirements

For Nasuni file shares, note the following:

The BA Insight Nasuni connector must crawl the content from an isolated Nasuni instance to avoid disrupting the caching policy in place for end users.

Therefore, the following is required:

Must set up a dedicated Nasuni virtual appliance on-site
Virtual appliance must be configured as follows:
- To use its own caching policy.
- Virtual appliance does not require caching on-premise.
  - Set this value to as close to 0 as possible.
- SMB protocol must be enabled on the virtual appliance.
- Content to be crawled must be exposed via the SMB protocol.
