About SAP Connector

Types

The BA Insight SAP Connector includes three different versions of the Connector: each provide you a different method of extracting data from SAP:

• SAP BAPI Connector
  • Most robust model
  • Provides you with the ability to include attached files and fully secure the items at the row level by t-codes.
• SAP Batch BAPI Connector
  • Similar to the Connector above, but expects the BAPI to return all the records in a single table.
  • Reduces overhead but limits the Connector’s security mapping and file attachment capabilities.
  • Enables batch data to be extracted from SAP BAPI's.
• SAP BW Query Connector
  • Extracts data directly from BW Cube queries and requires no BAPI development.
  • Reduces overhead
  • Capabilities around security mapping and file attachments are limited.
