How to Set Up and Configure the Dynamics 365 Connector
All BA Insight connectors can be downloaded from Right Answers under Knowledge > BA Insight > Product Downloads > Connectors. This connector is installed with the same generic steps as any BA Insight connector. You must satisfy the Prerequisites for your connector before installing. The configuration specifics are detailed below.
Connection Configuration
To configure your connection Connection defines the how Connectivity Hub connects to your Source System (which contains your documents, graphics, etc.,). Your Connection includes identifying elements such as: URL of the BA Insight web service connector you are using, (File Share connector, SharePoint Online connector, etc.), Authentication mode, User Accounts and Credentials, Database information (for database connectors), navigate to the General Settings tab of your connector and specify the following:
- Enter account or App Id: Enter your account or App Id information based on the authentication method that you specified in the prerequisites.
- Password: Depending on your authentication method, do the following:
- User password authentication: Enter the password Dynamics user account.
- App with secret authentication: Enter the client secret key.
- App with certificate: Enter the certificate thumb print Id.
- Dynamic Address: Enter the Dynamics URL address.
- CRM Organization Unit: Enter the organization unit.
- FetchXML Query: Enter a FetchXML query if you want to implement FetchXML capabilities. For more information, see Crawling FetchXML Queries.
- Authentication Method: From the drop-down list, select the authentication method that matches the information that you provided in steps 1 and 2.
- After these settings are entered, click Load from the Connection Info tab to load your CRM Organization unit name and select the organization name from which we need to crawl the data.
- Click the Load Available link under the Repositories tab.
- Select the CRM entity names for crawling from the Available list and click the >/>> buttons to add them to the Selected list.

Before creating web service content for the MS Dynamics Connector, click the Task menu and run the "Type Loads" job for this connection.
