Adding your Smart Previews license

You must add an activated license before you can use SmartPreviews functionality. After you first install SmartPreviews, you will see a banner in the SmartPreviews administration portal that states License is empty.

After adding a license to your SmartPreviews environment, depending on the status of your license, the banner message will display one of the following descriptions:

  • Your <license type> license is valid.

  • Your <license type> Smart Previews license is not valid. It may be corrupted or missing. Please refer to Smart Previews Licensing documentation for more information.

  • Your <license type> Smart Previews license has expired. Please contact the Upland BA Insight Support team to renew license.

  • Your <license type> Smart Previews license will expire in {X} days.

  • Your <license type> Smart Previews license has expired and the product is running on grace period. Please contact the Upland BA Insight Support team to renew license.

Additionally, if you do not have a license configured, users will be able to successfully generate a preview, but will not be able to see the preview content. If a user attempts to view preview content without a license, they will see a message stating "Smart Previews has detected that your product license subscription is invalid. It may be expired, corrupted, or missing. Access to the Smart Previews application has been disabled. Please contact Upland Support to renew your license.".
