Adding Voucher Codes to a Campaign
Use the Voucher Code Set function to import or generate voucher codes for use in a campaign communication step. With this, you can incentivise customers and thereby generate additional sales.
Voucher codes can either be added with a file upload or using an external resource (FTP).
-
Click on the create (+) icon in the navigation pane to open the create window and select voucher code set to open the editor pane.
Note: It may be necessary to scroll or resize the pane to view all fields.
-
Complete the fields according to the following table:
Field Description Notes Provider Select if the voucher codes are to be generated within Engage or if an organisation supplied text file is to be used If using a text file, ensure the Field Separator, Field Encloser, Line Terminator and Header options match the text file format and there are no duplicate codes. Warning Threshold Numeric value for the threshold count Number of Voucher Codes to Generate Numeric value for the number of codes Engage needs to create for the campaign This field is only visible if the Provider is set to Internal Generation File Path Location on the local server for the organisation's voucher code list This field is only visible if the Provider is set to Text File Allocation Exceeded Behaviour Select from:
Fail individual leads not allocated a code (1)
Fail communication step and leave all leads pending (2)
(1) This option will route failed recipients through a communication step’s failure node
(2) This will cause the communication node to fail and leave recipients pending on a communication step until the next time the campaign runs/refreshes with sufficient codes available
Field Separator Select the format of the organisation's voucher code list This field is only visible if the Provider is set to Text File Field Encloser Select the format of the organisation's voucher code list This field is only visible if the Provider is set to Text File Line Terminator Select the format of the organisation's voucher code list This field is only visible if the Provider is set to Text File Header on first row Tick the checkbox if the organisation's voucher code list includes a header on the first row This field is only visible if the Provider is set to Text File Note: When setting the Allocation Exceeded Behaviour to Fail communication step and leave all leads pending, be aware that the step will not re-evaluate audience criteria and leaves potential to contact a pending recipient who has opted out in the interim; be cautious using this feature in a campaign that is unlikely to run again for a long time.
